To the boy shadowing my orthodontist

Smile freckle boy, smile
with your fresh leather belt

Did they buckle your teeth down
as they have mine a time or two?

I see through the blinding blue,
your eyes crave teeth for torture

I hear your song of metal pain
for kids much younger than me

and for me too. Your gory dream
we are strapped down to

How many kids will you
bond?
