Mermaid Song

Pop Pop
I chew it hard-- Pop-- like
bubble gum tape on the last day of June

Plop Plop
All the folks crawl-- Plop-- to
the icky-ick sweet syrup of my song

Tick-tock Tick-tock
The long and short-- Tick-tock-- hands
are about to hold hands, it ain't noon yet

Ping Ping
Safety pins as-- Ping-- sharp
as diamonds, they don't scratch while you're screaming

Bump Bump
That sweet stuff I-- Bump-- won't
eat so I scrape for boogers and thumb prints

Drip-drop Drip-drop
Sink into the-- Drip-drop-- deep
I am a mermaid properly equipped

Hiss Hiss
In the ocean-- Hiss-- I
am Neptune's mistress , a smokin' bargain

Bubble Bubble
Don't come up too quick
Don't bleed air out your nose out your lungs
Don't forget that deep-sea martini
Remember where-- Bubble Bubble-- your mouth is.
