Breaking Bread
.
I wouldn't be surprised
to find you at my battles,
even though they are mine to own.
I doubt I'd not be smiling,
No..I'd be school girl giggling at your
leading from the front bold attitude.
And after the day departs under
bloodshot skies;
When the night and it's many guises,
finding me thoughtfully cut adrift,
there you'll be, reading to me about
lonesome drifters upon mountain
retreats In need of friendly company.
I should really call you my
Mr Happiness;
It's what you bring to the table
but some days it's hard ya know,
to break the bread and give praise be,
but please,
don't you ever stop fighting
and I'll keep on smiling
No..I'll be school girl giggling
between the thankyou's
