FACE TO FACE

(a  sonnet)

I view you deep within as our eyes meet
Your eyes convey your soul when face to face
In lying breast to chest with one hearts' beat
But deeper still the view when face to waist

For there my silenced tongue knows other soul
In drawing down to open other lips
And tickle darling bud with tongue's console
To view the blooming grace of love's ellipse

As you give rise to love's erecting tow'r
With mouth and tongue unseen for better view
For as you love your sight of rigid pow'r
I love my sight of tightly circled you

With closest view of circled tongue's delight
I bring your pulse and glory at the sight
