I Dance Only for You but the Mirror Looks On
I dance only for you, but the mirror looks on.
Matching me turn for turn,
Dipping
and swirling
and undulating.
The rapt attention of a comfortable
old friend
bearing silent witness to a burst of passion.
But you are nowhere to be found.
I shake
and shimmy
and shudder.
I rock
and reel
and wreck.
I dance alone.
The mirror looks on.
Matching me turn for turn,
Dipping
and swirling
and undulating.
The rapt attention of a comfortable
old friend
bearing silent witness to a burst of passion.
But you are nowhere to be found.
I shake
and shimmy
and shudder.
I rock
and reel
and wreck.
I dance alone.
The mirror looks on.
