HUNGER

(a villanelle)

Though years may pass, I’ll hunger for you so
A hunger only filled with feast of you
With every taste, yet hunger seems to grow

A thousand years of you might come and go
Love's banquet laid each day, this meal for two
Though years may pass, I’ll hunger for you so

Our lovers' fill consume that hunger slow
Our blending tastes that finds our souls' renew
With every taste, yet hunger seems to grow

Regain ourselves again, love’s ebbing flow
And moved with passion’s want, more love ensue
Though years may pass, I’ll hunger for you so

Devouring that other's all should know,
Those aspects salty sweet with love’s imbue
With every taste, yet hunger seems to grow

You are my hunger and my feast that show
I’ll never have enough, my fill of you
Though years may pass, I’ll hunger for you so
With every taste, yet hunger seems to grow
