One Who Writes
And life goes on
With days of sunshine
And of rain
And nights of starry darkness
Or moonglow
To light the way
And imagination lives its crazed life
Giving rise to any and all
Thoughts that need writing
And others that need hiding
And your own reality tells you
Which will be which
Since one will toss off a line
With no thought to hiding
That another would hide away
In darkest recess
And yet in my life
And imagination
All thoughts have been hidden
And sun and rain might well be the same
Since none come to the pen
Or the keyboard
And I wonder as one who writes will
When another will show up that begs
To be given life
I wish
But my wish has yet to be granted
With days of sunshine
And of rain
And nights of starry darkness
Or moonglow
To light the way
And imagination lives its crazed life
Giving rise to any and all
Thoughts that need writing
And others that need hiding
And your own reality tells you
Which will be which
Since one will toss off a line
With no thought to hiding
That another would hide away
In darkest recess
And yet in my life
And imagination
All thoughts have been hidden
And sun and rain might well be the same
Since none come to the pen
Or the keyboard
And I wonder as one who writes will
When another will show up that begs
To be given life
I wish
But my wish has yet to be granted
