Paintings.

 
Doing art can't be so hard:
if it looks like nothing
it must be good and
if it looks like something
then it would be a photograph

I would like to study art
and then do it all wrong
and be another Jackson
Pollock and maybe I'd
silkscreen cans of soup
only not full ones

but empty ones with
their jagged lids sticking up
because thats how the
world has moved on.
And the lids wouldn't

be modern ring pulls
but the old kind you have
to open with a can opener
and it would refer back
to another time and be
a metaphor for lost

everything.
