Nightshade
the night burned bright
and the day cared not for her
she wrapped herself with the stars
cloaking herself from his glaring disapproval
once they were deeply in love
now his warm countenance shined no more
she took supernova as a lover
so colorful and passionate
he painted her beautiful
when she was but a dark quiet voice
in love you can see their children
chasing each other across the sky
dazzling shooting stars
playing in her graceful nightshade
she is at peace watching them
now deeply adored and cherished
the night never cast her eyes on the day again
she sends her guardian the moon
to shine during the day as she slumbers
watching over her mortal children on Earth
when she awakens she calls to them
"come lovely ones be at one with me
frolic and be free from day's oppression
your mother night embraces you"
"no fault will be seen under my watchful eye
run naked and without constraint
the day won't scorch while I watch on"
so here I am star gazing
feeling so lovely under her cover
thinking I will write a lover letter
dear mother night
thank you for this blessed eve
for relief from a day too hard

Mother Night's the perfect comfort for a Crimsin queen watching over her minions. Night is a gentle contrast to the "glaring disapproval" of the day."
