Only When It Rains
I close my eyes
The rain falls upon
My outstretched wrists
It stings the fresh wounds
I wipe my tears away
My hands wet with
The tears of the sky
I start to laugh and run
I run down my street
Almost getting hit by a car
I don't care, I need it
I need to feel the rain
It needs to wash it all away
All my saddness, the pain
The rain is pure joy
The sunshine bursting through
The dark thunder clouds
CRACK!!!
Lighting pierces the sky
I chase it to the sound of the rolling thunder
Only in Washington can one have
Sunshine in the storm
The rain falls upon
My outstretched wrists
It stings the fresh wounds
I wipe my tears away
My hands wet with
The tears of the sky
I start to laugh and run
I run down my street
Almost getting hit by a car
I don't care, I need it
I need to feel the rain
It needs to wash it all away
All my saddness, the pain
The rain is pure joy
The sunshine bursting through
The dark thunder clouds
CRACK!!!
Lighting pierces the sky
I chase it to the sound of the rolling thunder
Only in Washington can one have
Sunshine in the storm
