For me
`~,,~`
She took her skin off for me
And in the naked light
Wore only the colors of her soul,
A color, of weeping and living sound
Of forgiven sinners, grateful for forgiveness
Of weight lifted off shoulders
In the color of his love,
Of peace
And acceptance, whether understood or not
But love, freely and blindly given
```~~~…~~~```
I was young, educated and in college
Rambling on about society
And social injustices
Prejudices and inequalities
Too blind to see another’s inner beauty
And too busy for me to see and fall in love
With human beings, thinking they are all the same
She took her skin off for me,
And sacrificed her flesh,
to show the inner strength
And beauty that had long forgotten that lies within
She took her skin off for me
So that I may take the time to silence mine own voice
And listen, for something not being said
And to watch, the beauty in others,
She took her skin off for me
So that I may have the chance to stop
And fall in love with her,
As she had with me
For she already had the power to see through and into me
A true child from someplace else
Someplace I never knew off,
Where love
can fall from trees and blossom into beings
She took her skin off for me
```~~~... ... ...~~~```
