Tales Of The Night Watching

Darkness fell upon me
Like belly flopping
Into monumental love
A weight
I was never able to manage
Therefore the black
Is lonely with I
And sleep elludes
As laughing children never wanting to stop
Their hard at play.
Wrestling with blankets
That seemingly have me pinned,
While thick head of stone sinks
Like a rock through clouds of pillows;
Im awake, and sounds of dead silence night
Draw me to at last steal a peek
Out my window to the world.

At three A.M. stillness....
Life was what I dreamed of this time
To be doing,
When shadows move
An untrained eye to the street corner
Where under dim lit city lampposts
A figure, from a second story row home window
I'd swear it appeared seven feet tall;
As I caught sight of it, it marked a dark glare of me
Staring in long fashioned curiousity
When voices simultaneously spoke
Together in my mind, saying there'd be many
More nights like this.....
Tired in fear looking to dead streets for escape,
Oh God is what I whispered
No sooner growling sounds roared
Tis not God.....
And I am face to dark
Faceless face
Of infinite blackness
Filled of despair, hate, malevolence.
Coughing on the thickness air
It plagues around me
Drawing on my fear
Fueling it's energy,
I actually feel the life force
That inner light of soul
Being drained, sucked away;
Many countless days lie awake
In arrival nights~insomniac
Not by choice,
When the dark figure taps on the window
My world......dissappears a little more.
