Wake up

Whisper in
my ear and I say you’re God
Bricks and
grey skies founded fundamentally to keep us silent
Keeping us
away from the sewn white birds
Society is
to blame, sure! Who else? Not us,
Not us at
least – we are just staring at the bricks and up into the grey sky
Jesus
Christ! We are not to blame –
For our
ignorance is not our fault, society is to blame
I tell you,
society is to blame

So we stand
around, whispering words, even sentences about the cruelty
“A child
was killed last night, didn’t hear, didn’t you hear?”
And while
those justified beautiful sentences are structured and said,
Welfare and
warfare is suddenly one ad the same

We are all
in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.
Bullshit.
We are all
in the gutter, believing we are the in sky looking down
And all we
see is mud and insects, and we have no freaking idea why

So are we
Gods, or just mere mortals?
Are we able
to rise against ourselves and our own moral?
Can we beat the system we made?
I can give
you the answer, but hey -
Did you
hear about that child that was killed last night?
