Yes ma'am...that's what provoked this piece. I am glad I discovered yours :)

I can feel the loss of friendships in these short few lines.
The title is interesting, does it have any particular meaning?

I've been schooled a couple of times that traditional Senryu/Haiku forms are untitled so I chose this generic label. And yes their are some poets I miss very much.

I've been doing the same thing. I don't see Vee's profile anymore and there are several that are still on my list but have not been online for sometime. Remembrances are a sweet. I will take Dr. Seusses advice once again and "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

Looking at this from the other side.....
adulting is hard
breaking open is harder
courage fails me now
Someday I hope to find the head space where I can participate more here again. Although I don't presume this write has anything to do with me, I have also been stuck in the shadows for some time.

I love this broken...you should post it. I understand completely about the "adulting' thing. I am still living in the shadows with this talent because to reveal it to my normal-life-folks would be disastrous...probably...maybe not. One of my DUP failings is not reading enough of the other poetes...not enough hours in the day. I do miss you when your gone because I enkoy your talent.

Oh, my heart is full from that comment! Thank you thank you, such kind words.
In the absence of motivation to write, I've been reading a lot of other poets these last few days and it has really stirred the murky waters..... some poems have finally started to show themselves....stay tuned.
I also don't have the nerve to share most of my poetry with "real life" people.....some of it is just too scary-intimate making the fear of rejection too strong, and some would actually be, as you put it, disastrous. (Although I suppose one could pretend it was about a long-past memory and not a current situation...) Perhaps there are thoughts and ideas that are best not revealed to the people we need to see every day....?

A few of the poets here have taken breaks for one reason or another. Everyone needs some downtime to replenish and maybe lick a few wounds, right? Recharge the writing batteries, and DUPS's waiting. Fine work Gahdess!

Thank you Crow. I thought for a time that you had abandoned the realm. I always appreciate your work.
