Luv Endures
rough waves tossing our luv
but I believe totally in us
hanging on to our dreams
swaying in moments of time
you're the beacon of my soul
shining purple glow within me
when I look out upon the sea
it guides me to your sweet smile
brings us together even closer
even though miles of ocean
divides grains of sand between us
I imagine walking in your footprints
with a thought I can feel our souls kissing
sacredly our hearts are for ever hugging
spirits cuddled forever within the other
one soul.....one heart.....one spirit

I like what I perceive to be the slightly naughty line of the 'shining purple glow within me.' This poem has such longing tones within. It sounds like a long distance affair because you reference the ocean quite a lot. Lovely poem, very visual.

Love. What a grand concept, and what a sad
way it usually winds up. I am sorry, not really
meaning to knock love. I love love. But it is
after each of us has supped all either of us
has to give that we bewail, moan and groan
love lost. Love is never lost. Misplaced maybe,
but never lost. We can lie in bed and call back
how he or she made us feel. The only thing to
do is start the search all over again. Love is
always there . . . waiting for us.

I love the imagery in the last stanza of souls kissing, hugging, and especially cuddling
It's beautiful and also interesting and thought provoking because cuddling is a physical concept, yet it's also soulful, and the physicality of it without the soul would almost not count as cuddling
maybe "cuddling" really is about souls being wrapped up together more so than bodies....
but aside from all philosophizing it's just beautiful imagery :)

you have a real skill with beautiful love poems, this one is no exception. Some really original lines and metaphors, so beautifully written full of love and hope, that's a wining combination. :-)
I looked at the picture again and read the poem for a third time and do you know what came to me? the woman in the picture was a siren tempting and guiding the ship on to the rocks and the sailors to a watery grave - her lines being the lies of seduction - I think our minds are definitely wired differently
