Unpopulated (My Entry for Jack Heslop's Loneliness Challenge)
Empty squatterless corridors of my mind
My heart, my poor heart, grafted from Maltesers
Dark and empty with no comforting sweetnees.
Traverse the land and you shall find no-one,
No Sea. No Sky. No Desert or weather.
Yet it was not always so,
Once it was a verdant paradise
Death does stalk the land, it is emigration
An exile from my heaven, a flase promised land.
Absence is the sinews of my loneliness.
