Needing Saving

You came to fix
My broken heart.
In that moment
You were my savior,
But I was not
The one who
Needed saving.
I took one look
Behind your
Fake smile and
Realized you needed
Someone to come
Save you too.
You needed someone
To not only be
Your savior, but your
Guardian angel as well.
It takes the broken parts
Of me to realize that
Other people like you are
Breaking too. You are
Filled with darkness,
But so am I. It takes both
Of us to come out of
This together, mended
And full of light like
We are supposed to be.
