The Devil's Wraith

The Devil came up today    
Escaped from the other place    
The vessel was a great snake    
My flesh it wants to taste    
With no time to waste    
It slithered up to me    
Those gray opaque eyes    
Gazed straight into my withered soul    
Its presence there felt so cold    
Like being stuck in a blizzard    
Without a coat or clothes    
He said "I can make you whole again."    
"I can wash away all the sin."    
"I can numb the pain within."    
Those statements made me anxious.  "You only need a few drops of my serum but beware."  
"You must aware    
Of this prophecy"  
"One day sooner than later    
You will look in the mirror and wont recognize who your staring at."  
"This i swear"  
Out of greed I agreed    
He let out a chilling laugh and warned "this will sting"    
He struck me with blinding speed    
His fangs sunk into a vein    
Drippin venom in it    
Oh the warm embrace    
The sweet escape    
Reality fades    
Everything that matters erased    
Nothing left  
Enslaved  
Toxic blood
