RHYMING EASTER GREETING

Happy Easter, one and all!
Join in the "He is risen!" call.
Out of the tomb He's standing tall;
The grave could be no prison wall.

The stone-roll angel did appal
The guarding soldiers. One and all
Did in a dead faint simply fall.
They lay loose as a crumbled wall.*

The babe laid in the manger stall
Is now the risen Lord of All.
We may shun or follow His call;
"You who follow shall not fall."

* "...the angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.  His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men." Matthew Chapter 28 verses 2-4.
