BEAUTY ON PARADE

Dedicated to Lady Penninah Ngangah (now aka Sanaa), whose profile pic inspired this:

She stands as if on a parade ground - an Amazonian beauty on parade.
She seems to have been made by the Master Designer's hand from the same chocolate clay that made the bricks which, herringbone pattern, surface the ground.
Her skin is polished off that the sun reflects on her bare sholders and legs.
She must be a prince's daughter, so beautiful in her sandalled feet from which her graceful legs rise.
Her breasts, belly and thighs are modestly contained within the sea blue, shoulderless frock, laced at the knee-length hem.
Bare armed, she gives her hand-behind-head salute that bids a man notice her.
In the gentle breeze her long black hair flows from front down back, like a flock of goats descending a hill.
Her smile through immaculate teeth puts on a light in the heart.
For the right commanding man she will be his co-warrior in the battle of life.
The building stands behind her, where they might go inside and he can interview her more intimately.
