Heaven In My Arms

as we walk hand in hand thru the field
I look up at the sky and wonder
how near are we to heaven
see an eagle soaring with majestic presence
mountains covered with snow
and wonder are they touching heaven
green trees and grass blowing with the silent wind
hear the birds wondrously singing
watch a pair of swans crossing the pond
with their grace and beauty
fish jumping and turtles popping their heads
in and out of the water
cows and horses grazing in the fields
I watch God's creation all around me
you stop and turn to me
tightly hug me and just look at me
I suddenly realize God's greatest creation is in my arms
heaven isn't so far away after all
