Everyone wants to be remembered, to etch their existence in stone so that their life will have mattered. No one knows how to do it because we are all trained and brain washed by a commercial world that whoever has the most is the greatest. But the physical world only matters as long as our physical existence endures. Youtube views and dollars add up to nothing in the afterlife... jj

now there's a idea...maybe that's why headstones wos invented :)

ain't that the truth, felt that way most of my life....I'm so conflicted with this complex subject you write about, Freya....been thinking recently about the benefits of fame and fortune, and the freedom it seems to bring; to make a person, not be ordinary; or as you say, part of the machinery....it's all good to have ambition, but good health, good friends happiness and enough money to not ever have to worry about money,  yes appreciation and respect is cool, but isn't fame a ball and chain?  and fleeting, as well, nobody stays forever, on top of the food-chain, seems a bit shallow to reach for that....I say forget about youtube, as an avenue to fame, just do what you love to do, full speed ahead, and see what happens, just saying.....hey a very thought provoking write, like
