“when our hands connect with a
drum that vibrates
with our energy, vitality,
emotion, exhilaration, hope
sensitivity, giving, sharing,
and unity, we become whole again...” Barry Bittman
….and her fiery staccato did
attack and
deeply connect
with my soul
weaving such an elegant pocket
felt from my waist
to my toes
sturm and drang,
tempestuous tension
stirring and moving me
no fear of giving
to her
my total
wet and
romantic release
and we danced, Eboni
how we danced
from chair to door
colors
morphing from an incendiary Lambada
to the coolness of a gentle 3 step Viennese waltz,
toes atop my toes,
a musical Mephisto
spinning off
into a space all our own
no one but you
no one but me.....no one else in the world
giving way
to the power,
the oneness of
your drum
the power found in your hands
in gentle execution,
you anoint me
with your
energy,
vitality
your emotion,
eroticism
sensuality and
love.....wrapped up
inside the loftiness and truth
of a child's heart

brown skin,
unable to tell your end
and where I begin......simply no words

The unity in the moment, the conduit that opens when we dance juuuuuuuust right is undeniable, a fire that builds us up instead of destroying. This really resonates in the verse
