Copper spills in me mouth
I smile
with a split lip grin
Insulting
Addin' to his chagrin
"Is that all you got
stupid drunk fuck"

Out of breath
he coughs an spits
eyes narrowed slits
Am waiting
pinned in a corner
nowhere to go
Relax
Try an let me body flow
as in comes another blow
Head left steer
ride it out
Ringing pain in me right ear
The 1 in me tummy a suprise
Tears now prick backs of me eyes
He'll never see them
He dont deserve them
Winded
he walks (no stumbles) away

hey, Freya, I don't think you'll get any 'negative' comments on this one, lol....damn good write....a drunk father beating up his daughter; wtf!...this one actually saddens me; bringing out so much hate, causing so much resentment, implied; pull quote says a lot...omg! Freya, this one is getting in my head....this is powerful, with handfuls of implications....one thing that just popped in my mind, just wondering why you chose the right into the abuse approach, no buildup; no background; seeking some clarity as a reader, also testing a hunch....cheers, mate

Heya you made it then lol...omg I got soooo much catching up to do, kinda mental busy at the mo
as for this write...no violins plz..but me dad regularly kicked the crap out of me..he wos an alcoholic who managed to achieve his life's ambition late last year an finally drank himself to death...which kinda brings on a whole load of other pissedoffedness feelings :-/....more ammo for morse prose tho lol
