Comfort In A Lie

He looks at me and I pretend to be looking back at you
He grins and tell me cheer up, don't be so blue
I pull my sleeves down and laugh it off
He takes a drag try to hide his cough
I close my eyes and try not hear the sound
Of the burning cigarette hit the ground
He take my hand and we start to walk
We don't even have to talk
The people we love on our minds
We don't mind sharing a bed, see we're two of a kind
We know there's no love in it for us
Together we jump on the bus
And watch the cars go by, his arm around my shoulder
Feels heavy, awkward like a long boulder
He pretends that I'm her and I pretend that he's you
We're just two heart broken fools trying to heal
But we will never, ever be truly real
He kisses my cheek at my stop
He whispers "I love you, Blue"
I nod and whisper the familiar lie back "I love you too"
