Foolishly

 
So many obstacles
I can't see
over them yet
I'm intrigued
by what I can
convince myself
to believe that I see
and foolishly reveal
all of me
to a sight unseen
in the eye of my mind
that may as well be blind
deaf dumb and far from
knowing anything
only capable of telling
the world one thing
an elusive dream
the source of all belief
a reach for something
never received
never even seen
and never to be
a wound that will bleed
in an attempt at peace
