Candle flame,
flickers in draught
Clinging to wick,
thread of a life raft
Dance its shadows in eerie light
Demons of mind, taunt the night
Hot wax drips, silent clock ticks
Candle flame
Light out, snuffed out
Whispers in death,
smoke lingers
Existence
Dances thru my fingers
