Busted In San Francisco

Busted In San Francisco

Hillside park blossoms with maidens in summer dresses
San Franciscan afternoon dipped in tangerine sun
With grassy knoll a pleasure garden
Where lasses and lads languorously lie

I traverse street my emerald eyes attuned to feminine beauty
“Sir I’m going to have to give you a ticket”, says German lady
“But don’t worry. It isn’t for jaywalking or anything.”
Her plea for donation to woman’s shelter granted

She has me hold out my hand, affixes a smiley face sticker
“That’s for girl watching. You can look but don’t touch.”
She power walks away, my exclamation, “What did you say?”
“You heard me”, her gruff repartee; me busted and blushing
