Yesterday I killed myself
Metaphorically of course
I do not have the courage
For the real thing, though
at times I wish I had
I decided that the fight
Was well and truly over
I was so, so tired of it all
Sleepy tired and dog tired
Actual tired and sick and tired
I decided to become retired
No longer picking the fight
No more fighting back
Just blind acceptance
For a much quieter life
I’ve decided to sleep more
Relax and listen to music
Watch my favourite movies
Sit out bathing in the sun
Become a watcher of nature
Appreciate natures beauty
Breath deeper and longer
Just stop giving a fuck

But what about the world
What if Donald Trump becomes president
What if Boris Johnson becomes prime minister
What if IsIs gets a usable nuclear weapon
What if children in Africa continue to die
What if the refugee crisis continues to get worse
What if North Korea attacks South Korea
What if Russia invades the Baltic states
What if Israel completely destroys Palestine
What if the world goes into financial meltdown
What if a pandemic kills half the worlds population
What if the promise zombie apocalypse happens
