The Astute Art of Parenting!

By Stanley Collymore

There’s much more to parenting than being
just a mother who either intentionally or
casually conceives and subsequently
delivers into a world of uncertainty
and instability the helpless infant
that she’s successfully carried
for its full term, either with
or excluding the physical
presence, moral, or the
monetary support of
a biological father.

For actual parenting organically embodies
the inculcation of those essential values
which irrevocably prepare that once
fragile child for the robustness of
adulthood; and you, Teri Rice:
tender in years as obviously
you are yourself, seem to
have already identified
and furthermore quite
strikingly mastered
that particular art.

Author’s Thoughts:
This poem: “The Astute Art of Parenting!” was originally entirely inspired by and in turn specifically and altruistically created and written at the time by me for Teri Rice of Broadfield, Crawley in West Sussex, England. Since its conception and subsequent publication this poem has received many plaudits and online recognition.

Three years on its germane sentiments are just as applicable now in 2016 as they were then in 2013, and with the imminent onset of Mother’s Day I’d like to re-dedicate it to its original motivator as well as all correspondingly conscientious, caring, adoring and worthy mothers not only across the United Kingdom but also globally.

Absolutely explanatory in its objectives “The Astute Art of Parenting” was created for the named recipient who altruistically I’d hoped to see grasp the afforded opportunity to utilize her God-given capabilities to the fullest having embarked on motherhood at the very tender age that she did. And is likewise an open and constructive challenge to all single mothers, whether that situation was by design or misfortune, to do the same!
