God do I have to do this again !!!
Same old...same old...same old shit
From over the bar,
Tad our Polish deputy manager
He's seen the look on me face,
shouts me name in a warning
But it aint me name is it,
1st rule NEVER use you real name
"Domino"...fucks sake i could've chosen somthing with more imagination
It works tho, i could kick off, but i dont
Right now, i just aint got the energy
But me being me, i got to have the last word
As i leave for a fag break
i look the punter venomously in the eye
"Touch me again an i'll have you killed"
Is a bit scary cos i could....very easily
Ok, well not killed dead,
but deffo have the c**t beaten to pulp
(would happily do it meself but he's loads bigger than me)
Outside i exhale a lung full of calming slow death
Its cold an am freezing, but i really dont wanna go back inside
Truth is, its her i want dead
This dirty thing thats possessed me,
she needs to GO
Some people dont believe in a 'dark side'
A place, a pit, a hell on earth...i promise you now, there is

It surrounds you, encases you.... ultimately defines you
Twisting an spinning you perception an overflowing,
spills over into every aspect of your life
As deadly as the cig am smoking

As i enter back thru the fire escape door, over the mic
"Next up, another favourite of yours...DOMINO"
Three steps up onto the stage
As the cheesy music starts

the ending is perfect...i know why clowns cry...i have a few friends who are ex strippers...it is a hard life to live with...in the mirror they do not see the outside...just the in...

This is frign cool as shit Domino! I dig the slang, it brings such realness to the write. How you describe the dark place is great, and that is something I think in writes to come can be explored. It cuts you bleed, love it. Your other write about the strippers experience on stage is a good one to post on here, and you got to, that one is incredible too.

When I see the word 'Domino' I can't stop myself from thinking its something old men play with in the few spit and sawdust pubs still left. That aside I just love this poem, you're accent / lilt comes through again making it sound like a perfect performance piece. I love the last line and i am tempted to steal it as the title for a poem - 'I know why clowns cry'
