WHEN ADAM KNEW EVE
(Imagining of Genesis chapter 4 verse 1.)
How was it on that Great First Time,
When man on woman first did climb -
Or was it the other way round?-
And Earth first heard Man's mating sound?
How passionate was the first snog
As they dared to go the whole hog?
Was it on ground or on a bed,
Fur skins left on or stark naked,
In a tent's or mud hut's cover
(Unless an al fresco lover)?
When Adam first 'knew' his wife Eve
Was it done in a bump and heave,
Or did the First Man take his time,
Like explorer on a mount's climb,
Taking in each undulation
In build up to copulation?
Did it give Eve added remorse
At causing Man's from God's divorce
By sharing of forbidden fruit
While still content with birthday suit,
Apprehension where this would lead
Once her womb took in Adam's seed?
Or did Eve find a loved-up peace
After an orgasmic release?
Did the couple find out the way
As they went along 'in the hay',
Or had God given instruction
On the method of seduction
So they would get it right first time
And give some thanks to Him in rhyme?

I like the idea that sparked the poem, the imagery, but the meter is off and this becomes apparent when reading. A strong poem, if you smooth out the meter I think it will be even better.

For consistency I have shortened two of the lines to fit in with the eight syllable (they were longer than I first noticed). Were you referring to them about the meter?

It is likely that the pair in Eden has sexual before sin…in perfection.
How many times and in what contexts…we do not know.

Or were these two “al fresco” lovers?
What was it like when Adam knew Eve?
Was it with a bump, a grind, a heave?
Or did that first man take his time,
Like an explorer on a mountain climb?
Did they savor every undulation
In the newness of their copulation?
We have no way to know or ultimately measure
But I’ll bet it was amazing perfect pleasure!
Did they after-taste the bitter fruit
While holding each other’s birthday suit?
Did they wonder where this act would lead
When her womb was filled with Adam's seed?
Did Eve enjoy the contented peace
That comes from knowing love’s release?
Did the couple discover the initial ways
For pleasing each other all their days.
Nine hundred years they’d be married, so.
They had lots of time to perfect it though!
I think our God gave them instructions
In the goodly ways of sacred seductions.
Yes…they got it right the very first time
Then whispered praise…to Him…in rhyme!

Very good alternative look. I was guided by what the Bible says went before, particularly in chapter three.
I tend to think Adam and Eve had no sex before this point simply because of its silence, but it was certainly the first mention of procreative sex, of which Eve was given a hint in God's admonition about childbirth and sexual desire (for her husband). Pity the result was Cain the bad boy!
