Somewhere else
In hazes of drunkenness,
Shaping the world, how I want it to seem
In a flash of pestilence, covering me with greed
I am off,
And my feet, blown with the wind,
Tender and rough,
But never stagnant nor still,
The hands, idle but scarred,
The Devils tools and plaything,
Long or short memory,
They ask;
Have I ever learned to live with tenderness
Mine shadow answers for me
Throwing concerns and questions to the wind,
Tomorrow,
Yes tomorrow,
When the clouds look much different to me
One day, one day I may stay
But today,
Today,
Somewhere else shows me everything;
Shaping the world, how I want it to seem
In a flash of pestilence, covering me with greed
I am off,
And my feet, blown with the wind,
Tender and rough,
But never stagnant nor still,
The hands, idle but scarred,
The Devils tools and plaything,
Long or short memory,
They ask;
Have I ever learned to live with tenderness
Mine shadow answers for me
Throwing concerns and questions to the wind,
Tomorrow,
Yes tomorrow,
When the clouds look much different to me
One day, one day I may stay
But today,
Today,
Somewhere else shows me everything;
