Image for the poem Diana

Diana

I sit under the full moon
waiting for the Divine
Lady to make a show

T he Goddess Diane
so powerful and so full
of the hunt

She is the Goddess of
hunt, the moon,  and
childbirth

She was also bestowed
with the power to talk and
control animals and the
woodlands

My  cauldron full and starting
to bubble I know it won't be long
before she comes to me

I start out by puting up my Alter
if you think of a square table this
is what you would see

Left corner  a semi large green
candle, this reppersents the
Goddess Diana,
in the middle of the top of
the table sits an offering  of
cake and ale

on the far right corner of the
top I have a semi large yellow
candle to repersent the God

right below the offering is
a small bowl of salt for
protation

then right in the middle
of  the table is my
pentagram disc for it
represents Earth

on the bottom of the table
in the middle sits a red candle
it is put there to give me strenght

to the left of the pentagram there
is a glass of water
beside the water sit a chalice
of ale

and at the bottom left there
is a bell this is used as a way
to reach the Goddess and God

now on the right side of the alter
under the God candle you will put
your athame
and next to that your wand
and right below that you place
your incence and right beside
your table don't forget your
besom

The I light a bonfire the wormth
of the fire and the cracaling of
the wood relaxes me even more
then I am

Then I start my chant
Hail Diana
Hail Artemis Diana
blessed lady of  the beasts
I dedicate myself to you
may my path honor thee
may my spirit celebrate thee
may my life force magnify thee
these things I pray
be fulfilled this day
Goddess mother help me
to know what is right

I cast my circle and chant
this over and over again

until at last the Goddess and
God have come to me
I asked the great Diana
to give me the wisdm needed
to help others and to teach
them to use herbs

Just as quick as she was
there she was gone just as
fast
I blew out the candles
took the offering and
the ale and gave it back
to the earth

I slowly put everything
away from my alter
took the salt and sprinkled
it around all doors and windows
for protection and
called it a good night
