I write not to tell a story
I don't write to entertain
I do not write to make an exhibition of my pain
I write because secretly I have this foolish hope
That maybe...just maybe...
If I write long enough
If I bleed hard enough
If I let my soul hemorrhage just a couple more lines
Then when I get up and walk away.
I might just be a couple sorrows lighter
Having left some of my demons on the page

That is one good way to release those demons. It works for me more ways than one.
