Image for the poem I

I'M NOT DENYING

(Inspired by Maria McKee song 'Show me Heaven', this incorporates some of its lyrics (emphasised). Dedicated with affection to this song.)

I'm not denying I have a need
That food and drink alone won't feed.
I need your hand to steady me;
After our date I'm so tipsy.
The killer heels under my feet
Might let me down out in the street.
Don't let me fall upon the stairs;
Make my safety one of your cares.

When at the bedroom we arrive,
Help me to undress, stir my drive,
Sending those shivers down my spine
That I admit so feels divine.
You too undress, set yourself free
To show me Heaven bodily.

I'll be like putty in your hands;
Knead my flesh to meet love's demands.
With your body as my cover,
I'll please you in return, lover!
We'll be flying above it all,
While names in ecstasy we call.
I'm so warm, I'll melt into you
As we make love this whole night through.
