Biting my tongue

Never good enough no matter what
looked down upon, disregarded
like a piece of snot
nothing handed to me, worked hard
for everything I got, raised my own
not like your lot. I stood strong
always by myself, yeah I'll take your shit
but only for her health. I've taken the high
road my middle names stealth.

I'm sorry you people are
just too good, you make me laugh
and so I should. So self absorbed
its plain to see, you've always looked down
your nose at me
ignorance is bliss and
exercise sets me free
I've made this sacrifice, not for me
otherwise I'd have thrown a wobbly

My tongue It hurts, I bite down hard
it helps me keep up this fake facade
So let's pretend we get along even
though from day one,
I never belonged.
