A new day breaks
Horizon splintered Magenta and gray,
As darkness fades and dawn invades.
All is quiet upon threadbare streets,
With the conclave of Man
Dreaming matchbox dreams.
The fumes of day will descend,
With a sorrowful sun shedding the last of its tears
And all these thoughts,
Will be vanquished,
In a haze of striving and wishing,
And just not believing.
As darkness fades and dawn invades.
All is quiet upon threadbare streets,
With the conclave of Man
Dreaming matchbox dreams.
The fumes of day will descend,
With a sorrowful sun shedding the last of its tears
And all these thoughts,
Will be vanquished,
In a haze of striving and wishing,
And just not believing.
