Mascara Tears
wandering thru corridors of my mind
searching of words I know are there
yet it's thoughts are dark and empty
all my heart feels is nothing
luving soul no where to be found
going thru motions of smiling outside
feeling my spirit flying away into darkness
out of sight from luvs embrace
gravitating to where sadness dwells
a lonely frightening place of desolation
no one but me is to be found here
those who luv me my heart has shut out
cried thru so many lonely nights
mascara tears staining a black satin pillow case
remembering when we held one another
now in silence once again over indifferences
but somehow not afraid or weary this time
two souls who just have to be who they are
achieving that by separate lives

Breaking up is hard to do... the loneliness you feel is shared by many but comforted by few. I know it all too well...

Hey JJ......your words are true for sure......at times though breaking up can be a blessing in disguise .....not seeing that until one comes back and you realize what you don't want and the person you've changed to be over time is much stronger than you were......appreciate you sharing thoughts with me.....xo :)

Lady Rain......you feel within the words that are written.......your words might be more true to me than I see within myself......I actually was very calm writing this cause I knew a friendship I cherish very much was going to end once again.....cause I made a choice to be true to me......price paid for being me.....thank you for your thought provoking insight here......your own luv is priceless.....luv and hugs xo :)

Sweet S......you feel exactly what I meant by this write.......it's like another soul told me today....."it's like you gave 100% ~ the other gave 50%"......if you know it's going to be that way......then why put your heart out there to be traumped on again......just walk away and be thankful for the good memories you have made......thank you for sharing such thought provoking words with me......luv and hugs xo :)

The words of this poem so round wrap me that I could feel the cold limps of loneliness, the endless nights of insomnia. They keep coming with their comforting hands like thorns each wake of memory... I can relate to this in so many ways. Thanks Gail for sharing this.
