Existing

Existing is very different from living
I have to say,
living is having dreams and a goal
existing is just being from day to day
your soul damaged and beaten, but trying
 to repair itself along the way
sleeping all hours - depression
What is time
the sun replaces the moon when it becomes day
You just sleep your life away maybe
that's the minds incredible way
of keeping the wolves at bay cause
there's nothing left to keep you engaging
so you sit within these four walls
contemplating, a war zone in your head
memories and emotions constantly raging
secretly preferring to be dead
where this life time of pain would surely end
then the downward spiral will finally make  
its eternal Ascend.
