Image for the poem Carla

Carla

Carla "takes care" of the dude next door
His satisfaction guaranteed
Their cries shrill but muffled by the wall
A crescendo reached, then silence

Carla then contemplates this lonely man
Tapping discretely at his window
Her mercy bestowed with measured strokes
Until he, at long last, finds release

Carla offers him a towel
Her own hand dripping pearls
She "tidies up" and then she's on her way
Delivering Paradise at a fair price.
