living and learning
Whenever the trees grow
In the forest behind my home
I question
Is it a rhythm
Or is it a way
A joyful song set in motion
For it grow a tree
Even in winter or early spring
Or is it a way
That they come together and grow
From natural soils and such
Unlike the world they start together
Why can't we learn from them
Trusting we are growing changing
Like the leaves
But even though when they both
Get torn down
They still let us breathe
And carry our world on
Their branches
In the forest behind my home
I question
Is it a rhythm
Or is it a way
A joyful song set in motion
For it grow a tree
Even in winter or early spring
Or is it a way
That they come together and grow
From natural soils and such
Unlike the world they start together
Why can't we learn from them
Trusting we are growing changing
Like the leaves
But even though when they both
Get torn down
They still let us breathe
And carry our world on
Their branches
