Succumb
Coffins Linger
In crimson translucency
Knocking, rapping, echoing
Their refrains enrapture
Singularly a voice sings
A sultry goddess
Of Mountains, ominous and dark
Glorious, they sway
Capturing imagination
Liquid, moving, with every breath
Mermaids on yesterday’s horizon
Gaze lustily
On today’s destination
And waves crash over all
White foam hangs in the cold air
Transcendence of time and space
Arrests and caresses
My soul
I am whole
Death wraps its arms around
And I succumb
