Sacred Contracts VIII : Twin Speak

“My father taught me this world
was only a preparation for the next,
that all we can ask is that we leave
it having loved and being loved."

.
It is impossible for a mountebank
To convince the Lover to leave
The campsite of the aged forest
Beneath the mountain’s knees.
Despite how she disperses warmth
To the many sojourners she greets,
Patience is the warrior’s way;
Braving fidelity for the effulgent
Burning bush, for the scent of
Cypress and chaparral, unkempt
Mountain hair tangled with hers,
Untamed, windswept Air of condor
Beyond clandestine'd Courtships
Ordained for a southern hemisphere.
.

“I will search for you through a thousand
Worlds, and ten thousand lifetimes, until
I find you.”

.
Altitude presides over the cave, dictates
Muted DNA from its double helix'd beginning.
Its petrified mouth having long since fossilized
Any semblance of personal possession;
As physical lives to spiritual existence.
.

“I will wait for you in all of them.”
.

Until then, she lives what'ere she's giv'n.
