invisible spaces
I welcome your invisible presence
words lost in the stratosphere
a world between us
that we’ve learned to make our own
And I would fuck the essence of you
just so I can pretend I’m not alone
feel your eccentricities brush up against mine
and make us whole again
if only for a moment
And I think you would fuck the essence of me
just to feel like someone cares
about the tangents you take when the night
gets too high and all the mountains
feel like they’ll smash the oceans into
nothing but muddy puddles
by morning light
I long for a salient touch
bruised finger tips
and wine stained lips
screaming distinguishable agonies
that rake bloody down my skin
in a language only we can understand
I can feel the words you don’t speak
a million miles away
So come leave indelible marks upon my skin
I promise I won’t tell anyone
the secrets of your touch
lest our porcelain skins
crack under the weight
of a world filled with too many words
that aren’t our own
