Lotus Leaf Meets Whispering Wind (Based on Taoist Poetry)
The lotus leaf listens- it is carried on the wind.
The wind cradles the lotus, and the lotus bends.
For the lotus listens, as it is carried high and low,
Yet, the wind merely cradles, soft and slow.
The lotus will wither in winter,
And the wind will mourn its loss,
Of a dearly beloved friend,
Laid to rest in frost.
But the wind will not surrender
In his search for better days
For the frost is not forever
Soon spring will melt its glaze.
The wind whispers
Calling out to lotus leaf
And the lotus leaf listens--
Ending all grief.
The wind cradles the lotus, and the lotus bends.
For the lotus listens, as it is carried high and low,
Yet, the wind merely cradles, soft and slow.
The lotus will wither in winter,
And the wind will mourn its loss,
Of a dearly beloved friend,
Laid to rest in frost.
But the wind will not surrender
In his search for better days
For the frost is not forever
Soon spring will melt its glaze.
The wind whispers
Calling out to lotus leaf
And the lotus leaf listens--
Ending all grief.
