Memories flash in a visceral kaleidoscope
Breaking down fragile walls even when I barely cope
Daydreams and nightmares haunted by your face
Your pitch black lace might as well be a rope

I never meant to hurt you
It seems that’s all I ever do
You should have walked the other way
And kept yourself in the blue

I burdened you with my savage heart
‘til death did tear us apart
Won’t you leave a rose upon my grave
Upon this grayest of days?

Dreamscapes linger inside of my hollow facade
Splitting my stitches open to witness all my flaws
Burn a candle in memory of me
To suffer once more is just what I need

I never meant to love you
It seems that’s all I ever do
I should have walked the other way
As is my rightful due

You buried me with a savage heart
When death did tear us apart
Won’t you leave a rose upon my grave
Upon this grayest of days?

Six feet deep in leaves
And covered in mud
You took it all
Even my blood

I never meant to hurt you
It seems that’s all I ever do
You should have walked the other way
And kept yourself in the blue

You buried me with a savage heart
When death did tear us apart
Won’t you leave a rose upon my grave
Upon this grayest of days?
