Friend
All my life, friends never came easy.
Friends never stayed.
I take friendships seriously.
If you come into my life as a friend.
Ill fight for you
Ill fight with you, until the end.
I never realized how alone i was until i saw that i had no one by my side.
I never understood why friends kept leaving.
I was the best, i knew in my heart that id always be there for them
Yet they pushed me away, ignored me, forgot me.
I try to tell myself, its for the best.
At 2am i sit on my bed wondering why i dont have anyone.
It makes me sad.
I get mad!
Is it me?
Of course its something im doing wrong.
I dont know what.
All i want is one person!
ONE!
That i can depend on because u can always depend on me
Someone i can talk to with ease.
Just one!
All i need is one friend.

SheCriesinSilence...when I first saw your name it reminded me of a Jennifer Berezan CD 'She Carries Me and in particular the song 'She Who Hears the Cries of the World'...I even went hunting for it in my collection and have it playing it now...just needed to say that... :)
An honest, heart felt write and something we all feel at times in our lives or all our lives...it's hard to critique it as doing so may loose the 'innocence' of the write...but it's always good to check your grammar, e.g. 'Ill' should be I'll and don't abbrievate, e.g. 'u' for 'you', look at the use of past and present tense...
I may be making an assumption by feeling the poem is about you...sometimes we need to be 'our own best friend', really enjoy our own company and remember that people come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime...corny it sounds but there's a lot of truth in that saying... :)

Another I can relate to.All of my friends have met,have always seemed like people I just meet for a period of time and then when things change I we move on.I still have close friends I've known since we were young,but I always wonder and think are they really my friends.Most times I blame myself because I am not as social in real life as I am on the internet.Good write though.

Yea! some people, well the people ive met dont value friendship as much i do. It really doest suck. Its a constant struggle for me.
