CELEBRATION

 I sat upon your lap
every little given chance
especially when in strife
apparently;  I was
too big for my pants!

I was a very 'spirited' child
you never seemed to mind
Nan loved me unconditional
her love for me was blind

I replay my memories of you
whenever I am blue
those memories set me free
my memories of mum and you

It was the safest place on earth
up there upon your knee
we all know I was your favourite
it caused a lot of jealousy

So today it is your birthday
we celebrate every year
although I cannot see you
I feel you , Nan
I know that you are near
