OLIVE DAY HAZE IN BETWEEN TREES

Forest bathe imagination-
I'm always trying to outrun this creek.
But the body living within its edges-
Always runs much faster than me.
Where you going in such a hurry?
Someplace, somewhere much better I guess.
Well if there's such a place don't ever show me-
I can do just fine with this.
I'll find grace underneath these stones-
Held in palms like a dying moth.
To distant angelic wind chime music-
I know I don't deserve this song.

Tell God that I can't stop crying-
Tell it I'm battling the truth.
Can you see me through these trees?
Since I forgot to die with you.

Tell God that I can't stop sadness-
Night moves me through this maze of roots.
I'm still in this forest my friend-
Since I forgot to die with you.
